Before you start
Have your iPhone, iPad or Android device, Clevermode account details and printer ready. Automatic test-result transfer uses the KEW6205 PRO tester. You can also record results manually when using another tester.
1. Install the app and set up access
Download Clevermode from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Check the current device requirements in the store listing. If you are new to Clevermode, register your account and add your printer details. Existing customers can sign in to the app.
The app subscription is $200 + GST per year ($220 including GST). The complete tester and printer kit includes the first 12 months of the app. Compare prices and inclusions.
2. Select your tester and printer
Open Settings in the app. Select your printer and PAT tester using the available settings. The KEW6205 PRO sends results over Wi-Fi; the Clevermode printer connects over Bluetooth. Follow the equipment instructions for the connection steps and keep the devices powered on while pairing.
If you use another tester, choose manual entry for your results. Automatic transfer is the KEW6205 PRO workflow; manual entry lets you continue recording results with other equipment.
3. Set up users and appliance details
Use Add a User in Settings to set up your technicians. Appliance and brand shortcuts help with repeated entries. In a test screen, check the selected user, tag ID, site, building, room and appliance details so your records are useful on the next visit.
4. Record results and print a tag
Start Testing shows the available test categories, including Class I, Class II, extension leads and RCDs. Use the appropriate test workflow and your equipment instructions. Check the result and record details before printing. Clevermode supports regular, small, RCD and new-to-service tag formats, and QR tags can be scanned when returning to the appliance.
5. Prepare your report
For desktop reports, install Clevermode Reports for Windows or Mac. Select your cloud test records or import the app's CSV export, then follow the PDF reporting guide. Job-file transfer to Flowody is optional.
